The rumour of gas station owners going on strike.

I am certain that I am not the only person here in Sabah that have blogged about this. There are at least 12 other bloggers here in Sabah that have blogged about it, and more will follow suit.

The question now remains: who perpetrated this rumour, if it was a rumour at all? Some say that the rumour was true; one version of the rumour claimed that the gas station owners wanted to stage an 8 hour strike starting at 2:00pm statewide, but was canceled at the last minute. Others claimed that the rumour was a hoax, started by anti-government individuals.

Regardless, the rumour caused a scare amongst Sabahans in general (particularly here in KK). Car owners everywhere that caught wind of the “news” rushed to the nearest gas stations to fill up their tank, causing massive traffic jams within two kilometres of any gas stations. It was a repeat of the 4th June 2008 petrol-rush when the government decided to increase the price of petrol.

To the perpetrator who spread this rumour in the first place, let me just congratulate you on your brilliantly conceived and well-executed prank. Now please, go find something else better to do, like getting a life.

It’s a Dusk of a new Nite.

Hello, dearest friends and readers. Welcome… to my new blawg.

I’m making a fresh new start with this one. But what will this blawg be about?

Well I have a confession to make. I’m a blawg stalker, through and through. My previous blog was dedicated to all Borneon blawggers, Borneo-wide. But there was just one problem.

It was hard to keep up with over 400 blawgs (over 300 of which were Borneon Blawgers).

I told myself that stalking that many blogs was just retardedly insane. In the end, the sheer volume of blogs was just impossible to stalk. I decided then and there to stop blawgging about blawggers.

But I couldn’t.

Everytime my Google Reader pops up a “New Item” message on my desktop, I couldn’t resist clicking on that “View New Item” button. It’s like having someone frantically waving their hands in front of your face shouting “Hey you! Check me out!.” It was distracting. And I couldn’t ignore it.

When I stopped updating my old blawg, there were about over 3,000 “New Items” in my Google Reader. All of which took a slice of my daily hour to read. Like an addiction, (not that it’s a serious one) I knew I gotta do something about it. But I didn’t want to end up doing the same thing with my old blawg, so it has to be different.

This new blawg is my attempt at doing just that but differently: Stalk ‘em blawgs, and blawg about those that I find interesting and unique.

Other than that, I’ll also be blawgging about all that goes bump in the nite (sort of). Come back next time, and I’ll tell you more.

Okay, I’m too lazy to write anything further. That’s all for now.

P.S. Please disregard those placeholder texts. This site is still under construction, anyways.
